Doctors Blake Riggs and Teaster Baird reached milestones in their professorial careers. Effective fall 2016 Blake Riggs, PhD, will be promoted to Associate Professor of Biology with tenure, and Teaster Baird, PhD, will be promoted to full Professor of Chemistry & Biochemistry. Dr. Riggs joined the San Francisco State University faculty in 2010, and Dr. Baird joined in 2002. Both are recipients of the prestigious National Science Foundation CAREER award that recognizes excellence in teaching and research. Dr. Riggs is the SF BUILD Liaison to the National Research Mentoring Network and leads a near-peer mentoring project. Dr. Baird is Co-Leader of the SF BUILD Student Training Core.
